On December 16th 2020, in order to commend the Tatay Hydropower Station of CHMC for its extra electricity generation in 2020 and for its exceptional contribution to the economic and social development of Cambodia by providing clean and quality electricity to its society, EDC has awarded Cambodia Tatay Hydropower Station with the Excellent Prize of Electricity Generation.

In the first half of 2020, afflicted by COVID-19, while having the epidemic under strict prevention and control, Tatay Hydropower Co., Ltd. （hereinafter referred to as Tatay Hydropower）spared no effort in ensuring its smooth production and operation. Holding high the ideal of ensuring security, maximizing electricity generation and improving effectiveness, Tatay Hydropower has worked hard to overcome the fallout of the epidemic outbreak, completing the unit maintenance with high quality and high efficiency and ensuring the electricity generation with all their strength. In the second half of 2020, amid continuous heavy rainfall, Tatay Hydropower united each of its employees behind the same goal, breaking the record of electricity generation once again.

Until at 24:00 December 16th, Tatay Hydropower generated 879 million of degree, completing 103.53% of the designed generating capacity and going beyond the generating task for six consecutive years, which means that it has achieved the goal of safe production under successful epidemic prevention and control.
