Recently, the Shuijinghua Converting Station and Phnom Penn North-extension Converting Station built in the phase-two project of Cambodia Eastern-ring Network undertaken by CHMC in the mode of EPC were put into service at the first attempt.

Since the beginning of 2020, all project employees worked hard to overcome the difficulties such as the shortage of technicians and delivery of equipment resulting from COVID-19 outbreak with scientific management and overall coordination. With determination and resilience, the project employees completed the construction of the two converting stations with full success.

Located near the Phnom Penn, the capital of Cambodia, Shuijinghua Converting Station and Phnom Penn Converting Station were major electric nerves of the state grid of Cambodia. Their operation would effectively reduce the shortage of electricity use for surrounding areas of Phnom Penn in dry season, significantly contributing to improvement of people’s lives and development of the regional economy.
