Tatay Hydropower of CHMC in Cambodia Has Completed CERs

Recently, Tatay Hydropower of CHMC, one of the subsidiaries of SINOMACH-HE, has completed the fourth-phase transaction of certified emission reductions (CERs). The executive board of the UN Clean Development Mechanism approved and issued the fourth CER of 850,130 tons. Until now, the Tatay Hydropower station of Cambodia has accumulatively reduced 3,602,300 tons of carbon, achieving a great success in both social and economic aspects.

After obtaining the certification of the governments of Cambodia at national and local levels, relevant certification of the Tatay Hydropower was completed in 2012. With the global trend of carbon reduction, through investing in establishing clean energy hydropower stations along the Tatay river of Cambodia, CHMC has actively engaged itself in responding to the global climate change, contributing to a greener earth for the humanity with high social responsibility.
