The Tatay Hydropower Station in Cambodia Has Overfulfilled the Quota of Electric Power Generation for 7 Consecutive Years

The good news from CHMC has revealed that until September 23th, the Tatay Hydropower Station in Cambodia had produced the power generation of 850 million degrees, achieving and even surpassing the quota of annual average electric power generation, overfulfilling the production quota for 7 Consecutive Years with accumulative 2599 days of safe production until now.

Compared with thermal power, the electric power generation of the Tatay Hydropower Station will have achieved the reduction of 390,000 tons of carbon dioxide by the end of this year. Since its operation, there has been 3.93 millions of tons of carbon dioxide accumulatively, playing an important role in economic development and improvement of people’s livelihood with clear environment-friendly and great social effect, which is a vivid practice of CHMC in its efforts to achieve the goal of emission peak, carbon neutrality and implement the double-carbon strategy.
